Fahlgren Mortine Expands in Key Vertical Market With Acquisition of Turner PR

Strategic Move Positions Both Agencies for Continued Growth

At Fahlgren Mortine, we begin every all-associate meeting with a reminder of our Think Wider mission, vision and values (or at least we do this right after a few tunes from our agency band). Our vision, to be the preeminent integrated marketing and communications agency in the regions we serve and to accelerate growth with a focused vertical market and geographic expansion strategy, is a little more in focus today.

This morning, we announced our acquisition of Turner PR. This strategic step gives us incredible depth in the travel, tourism and active lifestyle market and helps us expand further west, with a larger office in Denver,  and into New York City, with an office there as well.

It also provides an outstanding growth platform for Turner PR moving forward. This is a world-class boutique firm with some of the best talent and clients in the business. We’ll be able to provide resources to further elevate their work and develop their talent.

We are not new to acquisitions at Fahlgren Mortine. In fact, we had three of them in 2010, designed to help us expand our footprint in Ohio and enhance our digital capabilities. Today’s announcement was our first expansion in a vertical space – but not our last.

Our firm continues to grow because of our clients, and moves like the one we announced today allow us to better serve our clients through deeper expertise and an expanded geographic base. This kind of growth also allows our firm to remain nimble and independent, enabling us to make the decisions we need to for our business while keeping our culture intact.

I say it often, but it bears repeating. I firmly believe that the best culture attracts the best people, which in turn, attract the best clients.  As Fahlgren Mortine and Turner PR come together, I am certain that our similar cultures, talented people and amazing clients will continue to do great things.

Here’s to Thinking Wider in 2014.
